Kata Kata

kata kata is a unit composed of Takeshi Matsunaga and Chie Takai. We produce original dyed fabrics using pattern dyeing, pour dyeing, and printing. The motifs are all the things that I feel in my daily life. Animals, insects, plants, landscapes... imagining stories for all of them and dyeing the cloth is a great pleasure for us. I try to create a design that creates a conversation and allows you to imagine a story when you unfold the cloth. At kata kata, we would like to create fabrics that create warm air.
