The apartment I live in American seems to be quite old and is not allowed to be used, but there is a fireplace in the house. I chose this apartment because I liked the way the light came in during the day, the richness of nature seen through the windows, and the fireplace on the stone wall.
Since I chose the house with such a useless fireplace as the decisive factor, there are many small complaints. The sound from above the neighbor's life leaking out. Tilt floor. When I'm away from home for a while on a business trip, at least two lizards or geckos are always on house-watching.

　What I didn't get used to was the lack of lighting on the ceiling.
Houses without ceiling lighting are rare in Japan, and the light from above illuminates every corner of the room brightly. When I first started living in this house, I felt inconvenienced by the darkness and was worried about having to put in several lights. However, from a certain time, the room with the contrast of light and dark became attractive. The light shining down from the ceiling brightens the room equally, but the floor light used in this room can only illuminate a limited area. In the past, there was always a light, so the index for evaluating the light in me was convenient or inconvenient. However, while living in this apartment, I became able to enjoy the shining light in the dark. I'm sure that CANDLE LIGHTS is also playing a role in making me think that way.

Speaking of candles, I think that scented candles are the mainstream. Meanwhile, the Green Candles they make are aimed at enjoying the light.
You can see through the petals, leaves, stems, etc. of familiar plants with the lit flame.
They also want us to feel the beauty of natural modeling, the beauty of natural objects, and our existence related to the natural environment.

It's unclear if the texts written by indirect lighting beginner like me are persuasive, but enjoying the lights was a very fresh feeling. In addition, unless you go camping or outdoors, it is a rare opportunity to enjoy nature and plants. Even more, it may have been because I hesitate going out in the current situation.
The environment that I thought was inconvenient found new fun. I also hope to find something to coexist with lizards and geckos eventually.
