Story of the color :

*Edokko = Kissui means a person from Edo who was born and raised in the city of Edo(Tokyo). It was often used to express pride and emphasis on being a stalwart Edo resident. This also applies mainly to townspeople, not samurai. Edo people were not particular about things, were good with money, had strong will and tenacity, and had a strong sense of justice, but on the other hand, they were said to be quick to fight and thoughtless.

Traditional Crafts Designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government 
These glasses, made by Iwasawa Glass, the makers of Edo Glass, a traditional craft designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, are handcrafted one by one under the supervision of traditional craftsmen, following manufacturing methods dating back to the Edo period (1600 ~ 1868). 

About the technique: 
Each piece is handmade by three people using the "spin method", which stretches glass seeds using centrifugal force. The three people are the person who drops the seeds, the person who cuts and turns them, and the person who receives them and carries them to the kiln. If even one person is missing, it will not be possible to create something, so this work requires teamwork.

Care Attention:
Please refrain from using the dishwasher or microwave. Hot food and drinks are also prohibited.
